Ingredients to make Plain vanilla eggless pound cake

  • Maida 1 cup
  • Sugar powder 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Unsalted butter 1/2 cup
  • Baking soda /2 tsp
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Soda water 100 ml
  • Condensed milk 200 gms

How to make Plain vanilla eggless pound cake

  1. Sieve maida baking powder and baking soda in a mixing bowl and mix well, keep aside.
  2. Combine together butter sugar condensed milk and vanilla essence whip well till it become light and fluffy.
  3. Add maida mixture and soda water alternately in the butter mixture in a small batches and gently mix after each addition. This better should be in of dropping consistency.
  4. Pour this better in the greesed and dusted pan. Bake it@ 180 degree in apreheated oven.
My Tip: If you are using plain water instead of soda water increase the quantity of baking powder by 1 tsp.
