Monsoon and chatpatta ( tangy) hot hot food goes hand in hand. You crave for something tempting, mouthwatering. So here is a recepie to satisfy your craving.

Ingredients Serving: 4
Raw mango grated ( preferably not very sour), 1 bowl.
Potatoes 2 boiled and mashed.
Carrot grated 1 bowl.
Sooji 2 tbsp
Coconut grated( dried) 2 tbsp
Soaked poha 2 tbsp.
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Green chilli crushed 2
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
coriander powder 1 tsp
Kitchen king masala 1 tsp.
Coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
oil for shallow fry
For dry pead ragda.
Soaked dried peas 1 cup ( 250 grms)
Onion blended 2
Tomatoes blended 2 (small)
Garlic crushed 1 tsp
Ginger grated 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsl
Coriander powdet 1 tsp
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1 tdp
Aamchur powdet 1/4 tsp
Jaggery to taste.
Khada masala ( cinnamon, cardemom, cloves , bay leaves etc) for seasoning gravy.
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tbsp.
For garnish while servings
Onions chopped 2
Pomegranate deseeded 1/2
Ripe mango ( totapuri ) 1
Green chuteney
Instructions
Pressure cook peas by adding salt.
Heat oil in a pan. Add all khada masala. Fry for a minute.
Add blended onions . Saute. Add all masala and ginger garlic. Saute.
Add tomatoes. Saute everything well.
Add cooked peas. Adjust all masala and salt. Boil for sometime.
Add dry mango powder and jaggery. Adjust the taste.
Mix raw mango, carrot, poha, sooji, mashed potatoes in a bowl.
I have used Totapuri mango which is not very sour.
Squeeze out if juice of mango is more. This mango doesn't have much juice otherwise you get very soft mixture which is difficult to manage.
Add ginger, garlic, green chillies, Coconut.
Add masala and adjust salt. Add 1 tsp oil . Mix everything with soft hand.
Grease your palm and make patties.
Heat little oil in a nonstick pan and shallow fry patties.
Remove on absorbent papet
Place your Patrice in a bowl. Pour hot dry peas curry( ragda) spread some green chutney.
Serve with garnish of Onion, Pomegranate seeds , Ripe mango pieces and Coriander leaves.
