About Idiappam kurma Recipe

This is my moms recipe.

Idiappam kurma

Ingredients to make Idiappam kurma

  • 2 cups idiapppam flour
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups chopped vegetables carrots,potatoes,peas
  • Spices cloves, anise, elaichi
  • I green chilli
  • 1/2 cup coconut Milk
  • 1 cup coconut shredded
  • 1 cup dried chana or pottu kadalai

How to make Idiappam kurma

  1. Boil the water and add little salt and oil to water.
  2. Once it boils add the readymade idiapppam flour and mix till soft.
  3. Take roundles of this and using a idiapppam maker squeeze the flour.
  4. Steam the idiapppam for 10--15 minus in a idli pan.
  5. The idiapppam will be ready.
  6. For the kurma boil the vegetables and add salt to taste.
  7. Grind the spices, chilli, dried Chana and coconut to fine paste.
  8. Add to boiled vegetables with coconut milk.
  9. Idiapppam kurma is ready.

My Tip:

Coconut milk makes the kurma super yummy
