Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 8 leftover chapatis
  2. 4 tsp of refined oil or ghee
  3. 3 glass of hot water
  4. 3 medium tomatoes
  5. 2 Chopped Green chillies
  6. 2 cloves of garlic
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1/ 2 tsp turmeric
  9. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  10. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  11. 1/2 tsp coriander powdee
  12. 2 tsp finely chopped coriander

Instructions

  1. Tear left over / freshly made chapatis into small pieces and keep them aside.
  2. Blend fresh red tomatoes with green chillies to form a thick paste. Keep this aside as well. Crush garlic cloves separately.
  3. Take a frying pan and put 4 tsp of refined oil or ghee and after it gets a bit hot, add crushed garlic and cumin seeds and fry until they change their color to brown.
  4. Now add tomato pure, salt, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder and mix it well on medium flame and cover it with a lid for 5 minutes on low flame.
  5. Then add 3 glasses of hot water and boil the mixture on high flame. After the boiling point has reached, add chapatis pieces into it and cook for another 5 -7 min.
  6. Lastly, garnish it with chopped coriander/ mint leaves.
