Coconut Cookies

Ingredients to make Coconut Cookies

  • 2 cups All purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup ghee
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Shredded coconut
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp rose essence
  • 2 tbsp Buttermilk

How to make Coconut Cookies

  1. Sieve the flour, baking powder and baking soda together a couple of times.
  2. Beat the ghee and sugar till light, then add the buttermilk and rose essence to it and mix well.
  3. Mix the shredded coconut and the flour and add it to the ghee mixture. Do not over mix.
  4. Then add the milk little by little till you get a soft dough.
  5. Roll small balls of the dough and bake at 190 C for 10-12 mins. The temp and the time may differ according to your oven.
