Ingredients to make Suji Halwa with Banana

  • Suji/Rava 1 cup
  • banana (small) 1
  • sugar 3/4 cup
  • ghee 3tbsp
  • cashews few
  • raisins few
  • saffron strands few
  • elaichi 1tsp
  • water 1 1/2 Cup

How to make Suji Halwa with Banana

  1. Heat a pan dry roast rava till it turns to golden brown in colour and keep it aside.
  2. Now in the same pan put ghee and when it become hot add cashew nuts and fry till golden brown and add raisins and fry for few seconds.
  3. Pour water add saffron strands, sugar, mashed banana and bring it to boil till the sugar dissolves.
  4. Now simmer the flame and add roasted rava slowly by stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  5. Close the lid of the pan and allow it to cook on a lower flame till the water gets evaporate.
  6. Once its done add elachi powder and mix well. The halwa is ready to serve.
