Ingredients to make Masala Pav

  • Masala:
  • 2 Tablespoons + 2 Tablespoons(to add finally) Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Ginger-Garlic, crushed
  • 1 Small Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Small Tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4th Cup Red Bell Pepper, finely chopped
  • Salt as per need
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Kitchen King Masala
  • 1 Teaspoon Pav Bhaji Masala
  • 2 Sprigs Cilantro, finely chopped
  • For Pav:
  • 4 Ladi Pav / Goan Une / Bun
  • 2 Tablespoon Ghee / Clarified Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Pav Bhaji Masala
  • 1/4th Teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • FOR GARNISH:
  • 1 Small Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Small Tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 Sprigs Cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/4th Cup Fine Sev
  • 1/4th Cup Mozzarella Shredded Cheese

How to make Masala Pav

  1. First make the masala to stuff in Pav. In a medium skillet,add 2 tablespoons butter, when its hot add ginger-garlic crushed.
  2. Saute it for sometime. Then to it add onion, tomato, bell pepper. Fry for sometime.
  3. Then to it,add turmeric powder, pav bhaji masala, kitchen king masala, cilantro. Fry for some more time and add 2 more tablespoons butter. Mix well.
  4. On a tava/flat griddle,add ghee. When its hot,add pav bhaji masala,sesame seeds. Mix it well. Slit each pav into halves,horizontally.
  5. Place all the pav pieces on tava and coat them with this masala. Now,to serve, place the pav pieces on plate. On the bread piece,add chopped onion -tomato.
  6. Then add cilantro and masala made by us. Add fine sev and cheese.
  7. Close the pav and sprinkle more cheese and sev. Serve hot with Ginger tea!
