ABOUT Mango Rabri RECIPE

Mango rabri is a very simple traditional Indian dessert recipe. It is a perfect dessert for any party in this Summer. Here I use mango puree, milk, sugar, mango essence and some chopped cashew nuts and almonds. It is a easy and yammy recipe. You must try it.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups (480 ml) milk
  2. 1 cup Mango puree
  3. 2 tbsp Sugar
  4. 4 almonds finely chopped
  5. 4 cashew nuts finely chopped
  6. 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
  7. 1/2 tsp mango essence
  8. 1 tbsp raisins for garnishing
  9. 6 mint leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk in a deep-fry pan on high heat and stir occasionally.
  2. When it begins to boil, reduce heat to low and add cardamom powder.
  3. As a layer of creams forms on top, move layer to edges, slightly pushing it up the sides of pan and leaving it to set.
  4. Continue this process till milk is reduced to about 1 cup.
  5. Add sugar and stir till it is dissolved.
  6. Add the mango puree, mango essence and mix well on low heat.
  7. Remove the pan from the heat and scrape cream from the sides into milk and mix.
  8. Add chopped cashew nuts and almond and mix well.
  9. Place rabri in serving bowl and cover it with a plastic wrap.
  10. Keep it in refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  11. Before serving garnish with mint leaves, raisins and spread some mango puree.
  12. Then serve the chilled mango rabri as a dessert.
