Paneer Stuffed Dum Alu

Ingredients to make Paneer Stuffed Dum Alu

  • Potatoes 12 medium sized
  • Paneer 200 gms
  • Refined oil
  • Ghee 2 tablespoon
  • Kaju roughly cut 2 table spoons
  • Raisins roughly cut 2 table spoons
  • Ginger paste 4 table spoon
  • Jeera paste 2 table spoon
  • Dhaniya paste 1 table spoon
  • Cornflour 2 tablespoon
  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  • Elaichi 2 pieces
  • Bay leaf 2 pieces
  • Khoya grated 1 table spoon
  • Sour curd 4 table spoon

How to make Paneer Stuffed Dum Alu

  1. Peel off the potatoes and cut each potato into 2 equal halves.
  2. Take the pieces of potato and dig a hole in between with a knife to put the stuffing inside... (see the pic for your reference).
  3. Now boil the potatoes for just 5 mins in low flame and drain any excess water.
  4. For the stuffing in a pan add oil thn bay leaf, ginger paste 1 teaspoon, jeera paste 1 teaspoon, sugar, salt, mashed potato half cup, garam masala, kaju kismish.
  5. Stuffing is ready now.
  6. Put the stuffing in the potatoes now .
  7. Mix cornflour with bit of milk and make a paste.
  8. Its time to dip the potatoes in the cornflour and deep fry.
  9. Once done start making the gravy.
  10. In a pan add oil.
  11. Then add the bay leaf elaichi jeera ginger paste and all other spices one by one.
  12. When the gravy is nicely fried add the potatoes and cook in slow flame for 10 mins...
  13. To complete add ghee khoya and garam masala powder.
