  • Coffee powder 1/2 tsp
  • Puffed rice 4 tsp
  • Mix dry fruits (walnuts, cashews & almonds)
  • Chocolate Sauce
  • Vanilla ice cream to serve with
  • To make the base of pie:
  • Oreo biscuits small pack
  • butter 2-3 spoons melted

How to make Choco Coco Pie

  1. To make pie base:
  2. Put the biscuits in a food processor and whizz to fine crumbs. Add the butter and whizz again briefly, then tip the buttery crumbs into tin.
  3. Use the back of a spoon to press the crumbs over the surface and on the sides of the tin until evenly spread and compacted.
  4. Make sure that there are no gaps in the crust or the filling will leak. Chill for 10 minutes in the freezer.
  5. Put chopped chocolate in microwave safe bowl. Micro for 30 seconds and 30 seconds again till chocolate melts without lumps. Take out bowl and mix chocolate nicely with spoon.
  6. Dry roast dessicated coconut in a pan.
  7. Dry roast puffed rice and pulse it in mixer. Grind all dryfruits coarsely. Now mix puffed rice powder and dry fruits and roasted dessicated coconut into chocolate. Add cinnamon powder. Add coffee too. Mix nicely.
  8. Transfer this onto biscuits crumbs base and place it in fridge for 1/2 an hour. Decorate with whipped cream and garnish it with cherry(optional )
  9. Take out and serve it with vanilla icecream & Choclate sauce.

My Tip:

To toast coconut, spread in shallow pan and dry roast on slow flme , till aroma starts to come out.
