About Gajar Pista Burfi Recipe

It is a barfi with one layer of gajar and one layer of pista.

Gajar Pista Burfi

Ingredients to make Gajar Pista Burfi

  • For 1 st layer-
  • 1 kg gajar
  • 1 cup sugar / sugar to taste
  • 250-300 gm khoya
  • For 2 nd layer-
  • 2 cup pistachios
  • 300-400 gm khoya
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • For garnishing-
  • Chopped almonds

How to make Gajar Pista Burfi

  1. Take pistachios and blanch it.Then finely crush it. ( don't make a powder of pistachios)
  2. In a pan, roast khoya for 5-6 minutes on low flame, add sugar cook for few more minutes and then add pista and cardamom powder. Keep aside.
  3. In another pan take gajar and add sugar cook it, then add khoya and cook for few more minutes.
  4. Take a plate grease it.
  5. Spread gajar mixture as a first layer and put pista mixture over it.
  6. Garnish with chopped almonds.
  7. Set it and cut into pieces.

My Tip:

Do not make powder of pista.
