About Masala vada pava Recipe

Add masala in vada pav and give twist to normal vadapav to spicy one!

Masala vada pava

Ingredients to make Masala vada pava

  • For vada
  • Boil and mash potato 1 cup
  • red chilly powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Besan or gram flour 1 cup
  • red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • For masala
  • Finely chopped onion 1
  • Finely chopped tomato 1
  • Schezwan sauce 2 tbsp
  • butter 1 tbsp+ as needed
  • Pav or bun 2
  • oil for frying
  • Green chutney
  • tomato sauce

How to make Masala vada pava

  1. In a bowl and mashed potatoes, salt ,turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix well.
  2. Make round shaped vadas out of it.
  3. In the mixing bowl and gram flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  4. Add sufficient water to make pouring consistency batter.
  5. Dip prepared vada in gram flour batter.
  6. Fry vada in hot oil till golden.
  7. Cut pav from middle, apply some green chutney, some tomato sauce and put vada on it .
  8. In non stick Pan heat 1 tablespoon of butter and soute onion till transparent.
  9. Saute tomatoes till soft.
  10. Add Schezwan sauce some salt and 1 tbsp water.
  11. Cook on high flame for 2 minute.
  12. Add vada pav, and cook for 1 minute on high flame.
  13. Apply all masala over vada pav.
  14. Switch off the flame and serve hot with tea.
