  • Chikkudukaya 250 gms
  • moong dal 1/2 cup
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt
  • To grind
  • coconut 1/4 cup
  • jeera 1 tsp
  • hing pinch
  • 3 red chillies
  • 1 green chili
  • To temper
  • oil
  • mustard
  • jeera
  • urad dal
  • curry leaves

How to make Chikkudukaya Pesarapappu

  1. ADD 1/2 CUP RINSED MOONG DAL AND 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  2. ADD 4 CUPS OF WATER
  3. CLOSE WITH A LID AND COOK DAL
  4. THIS IS CHIKKUDUKAYA (BROAD BEANS). USE 250 GMS OF BEANS
  5. THEY ARE RICH SOURCE OF PROTEINS AND FIBER
  6. REMOVE THE ENDS WITH FIBER AND CHOP THEM
  7. ADD TO DAL
  8. ADD REQUIRED SALT
  9. MIX WELL
  10. CLOSE WITH A LID AND COOK DAL AND BEANS
  11. ADD 1/4 CUP COCONUT. ADD 3 RED CHILLIES
  12. ADD 1 GREEN CHILLIES
  13. ADD 1 TSP JEERA
  14. ADD 1/4 TSP HING
  15. BLEND TO FINE POWDER
  16. ADD TO COOKED DAL AND BEANS
  17. MIX WELL
  18. TURN OFF FLAME AT THIS STAGE
  19. ADD TEMPERING AND SERVE
