We all love bhajiyas....here i share a different variety from our usual ones.

Kand bhajiya basket

Ingredients to make Kand bhajiya basket

  • 250 gms of purple yam
  • 1 cup besan
  • 1 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander and cumin seeds powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp carom seeds
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • oil for frying
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • water as required
  • Serving : green coriander Chutney, tomato sauce and jaljira shots
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Toothpick and basket

How to make Kand bhajiya basket

  1. The ingredients are as shown.
  2. Peel the purple yam
  3. Slice them first.
  4. Now with the help of flower shaped cutter give flower shapes to all the yam slices.
  5. Mix the Ingredients for the batter together.
  6. Add water and prepare a batter not very thick not very flowy
  7. Dip the yam flowers in the batter , sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and deep fry them on low flame
  8. Fry all the flowers similarly.
  9. With the help of toothpick arrange them in the basket. Also arrange some fresh mint leaves.
  10. Serve with green corainder Chutney, tomato sauce and jaljira shots.
