Ingredients to make Tricolour Sweet Rice

  • 1 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  • Pinch of orange colour
  • 4 1/2 cup water
  • Almonds cashew nuts pistachios for garnish
  • Saffron and green cardamom powder
  • Pinch of green colour

How to make Tricolour Sweet Rice

  1. First divide the rice into three equal parts and boil it separately, one with orange colour, one with green and one plain white.
  2. Make a sugar syrup, add in the saffron and cardamom powder.
  3. Now put in the sugar syrup into the rice equally and cook till the rice becomes dry.
  4. Now take a glass and layer the rice, the first one is green, second is white and third is orange. Garnish with chopped dry fruits.

My Tip:

Use basmati rice.
