About Milk Powder Gulab Jamuns Recipe

Milk powder is used in place of Khoya. They are soft and melt in mouth dumplings soaked in sugar syrup.

Milk Powder Gulab Jamuns

Ingredients to make Milk Powder Gulab Jamuns

  • Milk powder 1 cup
  • maida 1/2 cup
  • ghee 2 Tbsp
  • Baking powder - a pinch
  • sugar 2 cups
  • water - 1/2 cups
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • oil for frying

How to make Milk Powder Gulab Jamuns

  1. Make sugar syrup of one string consistency.
  2. Knead a firm dough by adding milk powder, maida, baking powder and oil.
  3. Make small balls and deep fry in moderate oil till golden brown, take them out on absorbent paper
  4. Transfer them into hot sugar syrup for an hour.
  5. Garnish with nuts of your choice. Enjoy hot milk powder Gulab Jamuns.

My Tip:

While making balls ensure there are no cracks on the gulab jamuns balls.
