Savoury Semolina Cake

Ingredients to make Savoury Semolina Cake

  • 1 cup Semolina
  • 1 cup curd
  • 2-3 tbsp water
  • Carrot grated, beans chopped, green chillies, peas, ginger grated
  • Red chilly powder, turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds for tempering
  • salt as per taste

How to make Savoury Semolina Cake

  1. Mix semolina, curd and water. Add all veggies.
  2. Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Add grated ginger, mix well. The mixture should be thick.
  3. Pre heat oven To 180 C.
  4. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves and pour it over the semolina mixture. Add baking soda.
  5. Mix well. Pour this mixture in a greased loaf tin.
  6. Bake it for 30 to 35 minutes or till golden brown in color in the oven. Let it cool for 10 minutes, cut it and serve hot with chutney or ketchup.

My Tip:

Veggies can be added more or less as per your choice.
