Butterscotch Pound Cake

Ingredients to make Butterscotch Pound Cake

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup Castor Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Curd
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp butterscotch essence
  • 1/4 cup butterscotch chips

How to make Butterscotch Pound Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. In another bow, beat butter and sugar until they are creamy and light.
  4. Add curd and whisk. Add milk and the mixed dry ingredients to this mixture alternately and beat well.
  5. Add the butterscotch essence. Coat the butterscotch chips with some flour and then add them to this mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of cake comes out clean.
  7. Cool on a wire rack and then slice.
