Pizza pockets

Ingredients to make Pizza pockets

  • 3 cup maida
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tsp dry yeast
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp Oregano
  • 2 tsp oil or butter for dough , 2 tsp for frying.
  • 1 large capsicum sliced
  • 1 onion,sliced
  • 1 cup corns
  • 4 large spoon cheese

How to make Pizza pockets

  1. Making pizza dough- sprinkle sugar in warm water add yeast. Stir and let mixture sit at room temperature for 10 min till it becomes frothy.
  2. In a bowl add maida,salt, oregano, oil, frothy yeast mixture. Knead the dough. You can add some more warm water for making dough.
  3. Apply some oil all over the dough, cover loosely and keep in a large bowl at room temperature for 2-3 hours. The dough will double up.
  4. For fillings - take a pan, put one tsp oil, then fry onion till golden brown then add capsicum and corns. Cook it for 5 min till its half done.
  5. Set it in fridge for 10 minutes after that add cheese. For making pockets - flatten the dough with rolling pin. Stuff two spoon fillings.
  6. Make it like pockets. Then rest it for 10 min till then pre heat your oven.
  7. After ten minutes place the pockets in greased pan. Sprinkle some oregano and bake it for 10 min @ 200 degrees C and then for 10 min @ 180 degrees C. Flip it if required.

My Tip:

You can rest rough for more hours for better and soft pockets.
