ABOUT aloo leek sandwich RECIPE

The potato filling is very tasty, as it is boosted with flavourful ingredients like onion, coriander, chaat masala and lemon juice. Although it is a common snack that is enjoyed by everybody, this is nothing short of a work of art because it so masterfully combines taste and functionality.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 potato / aloo boiled & mashed
  2. 2 tbsp onion finely chopped
  3. 1 leek finely chopped
  4. 1 tbsp coriander finely chopped
  5. 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  6. 1 tsp chaat masala
  7. 1/4 tsp salt
  8. 8 slices bread white / brown
  9. 4 tbsp tomato sauce
  10. 4 tbsp green chutney
  11. 1 tomato sliced
  12. 1 tsp pepper crushed
  13. 1 block cheddar cheese grated
  14. as needed butter for roasting

Instructions

  1. Firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 2 boiled and mashed potato, 2 tbsp onion, 2 tbsp leek and 1 tbsp coriander.also add ½ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp chaat masala and ¼ tsp salt.
  2. Combine well making sure all the ingredients are mixed well. now take 2 slices of bread and spread 1 tbsp tomato sauce and 1 tbsp green chutney on each slice of bread.
  3. Spread a tbsp of prepared aloo masala over bread slice.also, place tomato slices over aloo masala.
  4. Then sprinkle crushed black pepper.further grate cheddar cheese generously.cover with another slice of bread and press gently.
  5. Roast the sandwich with butter on both sides.finally, cut the bread in half and serve spicy aloo sandwich.
