About French Madeleines Recipe

Buttery goodness in a cookie/cake- you decide !

French Madeleines

Ingredients to make French Madeleines

  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2tbsp corn flour
  • 8 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup castor sugar
  • A pinch of salt

How to make French Madeleines

  1. Preheat oven to 170ºC
  2. Mix corn starch, milk and curd until there are no lumps
  3. Add sugar and mix well
  4. Add the sifted flour, baking powder, salt
  5. Add melted butter and mix
  6. Grease a madeleine tray and fill with batter, i used a mini muffin pan instead
  7. Bake in the oven for about 14-15 minutes until the sides turn golden

My Tip:

Serve warm with tea or with whipped cream and fruits
