Raw Banana Dahibada

Ingredients to make Raw Banana Dahibada

  • 2 raw banana, boiled mashed
  • Black urard dal paste 100 gms
  • Hung curd 250 gms
  • Sweet Tamarind Chutney as per choice
  • Roasted coriander powder
  • Black pepper as per taste
  • Black salt as per taste
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Raisin and cashew nuts for filling

How to make Raw Banana Dahibada

  1. Mash raw banana with the dal paste.
  2. Mix till it is smooth and it will become light. Put a drop of it in water and it will float.
  3. Wet your hands and take a hand full of the batter/doug. Put raisin and cashew nut inside. Fold to make a round ball and deep fry it.
  4. Strain the excess oil and dip it in salt water.
  5. After a few minutes take out from water. With your palm squeeze out the water.
  6. Make a smooth batter of curd by whisking it.
  7. Plate the bada with curd and chutney. Sprinkle roasted coriander powder, black pepper, black salt and red chilli powder as per choice.
  8. Tastes best when served chilled.

It can be a starter or after lunch or snacks.
