ABOUT Bhapa sondesh (steamed sandesh) RECIPE

This is a easy to prepare delicious Bengali sweet.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Full cream milk 1 litre
  2. Lemon juice about 3 table spoon
  3. Sugar 1cup(Or as per your taste)
  4. cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon
  5. Rose essence 1 teaspoon
  6. 1/2 teaspoon ghee for greasing
  7. Chopped pistachios 1 table spoon

Instructions

  1. BOIL FULL CREAM MILK
  2. ADD LEMON JUICE AND MIX
  3. PASS IT THROUGH A CLEAN COTTON CLOTH
  4. TIE THE CLOTH AND HANG IT FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES
  5. AFTER 30 MINUTES
  6. ADD SUGAR
  7. CARDAMOM POWDER
  8. 1 TEASPOON ROSE ESSENCE
  9. MIX AND KNEAD IT
  10. GREASE A STEEL TIFFIN BOX
  11. POUR THE CHHENA MIX
  12. ADD PISTACHIOS AND COVER IT WITH IT'S LID OR WITH ALUMINIUM FOIL
  13. IN A PRESSURE COOKER
  14. PLACE A STAND POUR 1 GLASS WATER
  15. NOW PLACE THE TIFFIN BOX
  16. CLOSE THE LID OF THE PRESSURE COOKER
  17. REMOVE THE LIVER OR WHISTLE
  18. COOK IT ON LOW FLAME FOR 15 MINUTES
  19. THEN COOK ON HIGH FLAME FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES
  20. THEN REMOVE THE LID OF THE PRESSURE COOKER
  21. LET IT COOL THEN OPEN THE TIFFIN BOX
  22. ITS DONE PLACE IT IN A PLATE AND CUT INTO PIECES
