Milk Cake

Ingredients to make Milk Cake

  • 1 litre milk
  • 150 gm khoya
  • 2-3 tsp lime juice
  • 4 tbsp badam powder
  • few strands of kesar
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar free powder
  • For garnishing:
  • Chopped pistachios
  • Oil for greasing the dish

How to make Milk Cake

  1. Take a non stick karahi/wok. Put milk in it. Boil it and lower the flame.
  2. Add lime juice so that milk starts to curdle. Do not add too much lime juice such that the water gets separated and paneer is formed.
  3. Keep stirring milk on a low flame.
  4. After 20 minutes add crushed khoya. Keep stirring.
  5. Add kesar and badam powder.
  6. Keep stirring till the milk is reduced and thickened. Add sugar free powder. (you can also use sugar powder instead of sugar free).
  7. Transfer this mixture in a greased plate. Garnish with chopped pistachios. Allow to cool at room temperature.
  8. Now put in refrigerator for 15 minutes and then cut into pieces and store in an air tight container.
My Tip: Put lime juice carefully to avoid excess curdling.
