Mango raw Banana Vada

Ingredients to make Mango raw Banana Vada

  • Raw Bananas - 2
  • Sour green Mango - 1 (finely grated)
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Gram flour 3/4 cup
  • Rice flour 3/4 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Ingredients to be crushed:
  • Shallots - 1 cup
  • Garlic - 5 pods
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Green chillies - 8 (if you want more spicy add more)
  • Crush the above ingredients and keep aside.

How to make Mango raw Banana Vada

  1. Steam boil the raw banana with the skin, till tender.
  2. When cool, peel the skin and mash well.
  3. Add the finely grated mangoes, rice flour, gram flour,cumin seeds, salt and crushed shallots. Make a thick dough (No need to add water, moisture of bananas and grated mangoes is enough. If needed just sprinkle very little).
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. Grease your hands with oil and make vadas.
  6. Gently drop the vadas into the hot oil and fry it till golden colour.
  7. Drain it in a colander.
  8. Mango raw banana vadas are ready to serve.
  9. Serve hot with tomato sauce or with chutney.
