ABOUT Fried Chicken (KFC style) RECIPE

A very good starters for a party.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 grams chicken drumsticks or fillets
  2. Oil for deep frying
  3. 1 large Egg
  4. 3/4 tbsp Lemon juice
  5. 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
  6. A pinch of Turmeric
  7. 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  8. 1/2 tsp Dried rosemary or garam masala powder for Indian version
  9. 1/4 tsp Onion powder
  10. 1/4 tsp Garlic powder (Optional)
  11. 1/4 tsp Paprika or Kashmiri chili powder
  12. Salt as need
  13. 2 to 3 tbsp Cornflour/ Bread crumbs or powdered oats or cornflakes as needed

Instructions

  1. Wash chicken and remove all the excess water. You can use fillets or drumsticks.
  2. Beat an egg and set aside.
  3. Marinate with lemon juice, pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, salt , garam masala or rosemary and red chilli powder.
  4. Add corn flour and egg. Mix well. Set aside for at least 45 minutes in a refrigerator.
  5. Pick up each of these pieces and roll them in the bread crumbs or sprinkle breadcrumbs over the chicken and mix.
  6. You could leave them in the crumbs for a while. If you do not have bread crumbs, pulse the oats coarsely in a mixer and use.
  7. Add oil to a hot pan, preferably a heavy bottom pan. When the oil is hot enough, fry the chicken on medium high heat till golden.
  8. If the flame is too high, chicken gets browned without getting cooked inside. Serve hot.
