Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Raw rice 2 cups
  2. Jaggery 3/4 cup
  3. Alphonsa mango puree from 2 mangoes (medium sized)
  4. Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
  5. Ghee for preparing the dosas.

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the rice in water for 2 hours.
  2. Wash well and drain the water. Grind to a smooth paste, finally add the mango puree and mix well and keep aside.
  3. Place jaggery with 1/4 cup of water in a pan and stir over a low heat till jaggery melts.
  4. Remove from heat, strain it and allow to cool. Mix this with the batter and add cardamom powder.
  5. Stir the dosa batter well. Grease a dosa pan.
  6. Pour a ladle full of batter and spread in a circular motion and drizzle a tsp of ghee around dosa.
  7. Flip on to the other side and cook for few seconds. Sweet alphonsa mango dosa is ready to serve.
