ABOUT Tomato Coconut Chutney RECIPE

An excellent recipe for the chutney lovers, but spicy and wholesome.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Garlic 1 clove
  2. Green chili 1-2
  3. Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
  4. Curry leaves 5-6
  5. Red chili powder 1/2 tspn
  6. Onion 1 medium-sized, sliced
  7. Tomato 1 medium sized roughly chopped
  8. Coconut freshly grated 1/2 cup
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil for tempering
  11. Mustard seeds 1/2 tspn
  12. Water as required

Instructions

  1. In a pan heat some oil and add the onions and tomatoes and saute until they become tender.
  2. Add the garlic clove, grated coconut and saute for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the above in a blender along with the remaining ingredients except mustard seeds. Blend until smooth.
  4. In a pan heat some oil and add the mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  5. Add the tempering to the chutney.
