Ingredients to make Watermelon and lemon granita

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cups watermelon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Sprigs of mint leaves

How to make Watermelon and lemon granita

  1. Over a medium heat mix water with sugar and stir until dissolved.
  2. Make puree of watermelon with the sugar syrup and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a baking pan and freeze for an hour. Using a fork, scrap the granita.
  4. Do this after every hour for at least 5-6 times or until frozen and fluffy.
  5. For serving fluff up the granita with a fork. Scoop into bowls, garnish it with mint leaves.
