Baked Veg- O-Cheese Curls

Ingredients to make Baked Veg- O-Cheese Curls

  • For the curls :
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 3 to 4 tbsp grated cheese
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp oregano powder
  • for the stuffing:
  • 1 big potato boiled
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp Pav bhaji masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Melted butter for brushing the curls

How to make Baked Veg- O-Cheese Curls

  1. Cream the butter and cheese and mix the black pepper powder and oregano.
  2. Cut the crusts off the bread slices and roll them out to flatten.
  3. In a pan take little oil. Saute the onions slightly. Add the pav bhaji masala and salt.
  4. Add the boiled potato and mix it nicely. Remove from gas.
  5. Take a rolled out bread slice and put this potato cylinder on one edge of the slice. Repeat same for other slices.
  6. Roll up the slice tightly like a swiss roll, wrap it nicely with a cling wrap and chill for an hour at least.
  7. Grease a baking tray and arrange the curls.
  8. Brush each curl with melted butter.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Centigrade for 15 -20 minutes till crisp. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or juice of your choice.
