ABOUT Carrot Holige RECIPE

Carrot holige is different than oily obbattu. Bengal gram holige is popular in manladu area, but carrot holige. I know really all are surprised. I prepared it finger cross, oh it came out very well with good flavour and tasty. I have prepared vitamin K and vitamin B6 included 8 holige, all are liked with neighborhood. Here it is little tricky of rolling otherwise stuffing will come out.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Carrot half kg
  2. Sugar 50 gms
  3. Sooji 25 gms
  4. Cardamom 1 tsp
  5. All-purpose flour 200 gms
  6. Coconut oil 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR 2 CUP
  2. SALT A PINCH, WATER 1 CUP
  3. MIX WELL IN HAND, KNEAD SOFTER THAN CHAPATHI DOUGH, IT MUST BE STICKY
  4. ADD 1/4 CUP OF COCONUT OIL, MIX
  5. AFTER WELL MIX AND KNEAD, COVER AND KEEP ASIDE THE OUTER COVER OR KANAKA
  6. CUT TOP AND BOTTOM, PEEL OFF CARROTS
  7. STEAM UNTIL SOFT
  8. CHECK THE SOFTNESS, ALLOW IT TO COOL
  9. GRIND SMOOTHLY CARROT AND CARDAMOM SEEDS 1 TSP
  10. TRANSFER GROUND CARROT INTO FRYING PAN
  11. MIX WELL AND FRY UNTIL BUBBLES STOP
  12. ADD 1/2 CUP SUGAR
  13. SAUTE AND FRY
  14. FRY CONTINUOUSLY IN MEDIUM FLAME
  15. WHEN THE MIXTURE STARTS THICKENING ADD SOOJI 1/4 CUP
  16. MIX THE MIXTURE UNTIL IT COMES TOGETHER LIKE A DOUGH FORM, TURN OFF THE FLAME
  17. ALLOW THE MIXTURE TO COOL
  18. OPEN THE PLIABLE OUTER COVERING DOUGH, PULL OUT BIG LEMON SIZED BALLS BY USING THE THUMB AS MAIN
  19. KEEP IT READY
  20. MAKE CRICKET BALL SIZED STUFFING BALLS
  21. TAKE KANAKA, PRESS IT'S ONE SIDE IN ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
  22. STUFF CARROT BALL BY ENLARGING THE KANAKA, SEAL IT SMOOTHLY WITH THE MOVEMENT OF FINGERS
  23. APPLY FLOUR GENEROUSLY ON ROLLING WOODEN BOARD, DIP AND LIGHT PRESS THE COVERED STUFF
  24. ROLL IT INTO AN OVAL SHAPE BY USING CHAPATHI PIN BE CAREFULLY BECAUSE STUFFING MAY COME OUT
  25. TRANSFER INTO A HOT IRON TAVA
  26. FRY UNTIL BUBBLES START
  27. FLIP AND COOK ANOTHER SIDE UNTIL BUBBLES OR DARK SPOTS APPEAR HERE AND THERE IN MEDIUM FLAME
  28. AFTER WELL COOK REMOVE, AND FOLLOW THE SAME FOR REMAINING
  29. SERVE THE SMOOTH CARROT HOLIGE WITH LESS OIL CONTENT WITH HOT GHEE OR COCONUT OIL.
