Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sooji 1 cup
  2. Gram flour 1 spoon
  3. Sugar 3/4 cup
  4. Water
  5. Cardamom 2
  6. Almond
  7. Ghee 5 spoon

Instructions

  1. In a heavy bottomed pan put a ghee and roast sooji on a low flame for couple of minutes
  2. Cook sooji until it is light brown in color, stirring continuously.
  3. Add one spoon gram flour in roasted sooji for couple of minutes
  4. Then add sugar in it and then water.
  5. It will become all liquidy. Increase the flame and stir continuously. Make sure nothing sticks to the bottom.
  6. Soon halwa will start to come together and the mixture will start to bubble and splash. Use a long ladle/spoon to stir. Maintain the heat at at medium low and keep stirring.
  7. Remove from flame once halwa is of a dropping consistency.
  8. As the halwa cools it will become grainy in texture.
  9. Garnish with almonds and serve it.
