Baked Mutter Kachori

Ingredients to make Baked Mutter Kachori

  • For bati :
  • Atta (wheat Flour) - 1 Cup
  • Oil - 2 Table spoon
  • Baking powder - a pinch
  • For stuffing :
  • Green peas - 1 cup
  • Boiled Potato - 1 Cup
  • Chopped Green Chillies - 2
  • Chopped Ginger
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Jeera - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dry Mango (Amchur) Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida (Heeng) - a pinch
  • Salt - to taste

How to make Baked Mutter Kachori

  1. For Filling: Add oil to a pan, put Heeng and jeera, let it crackle.
  2. Once done, add green peas, chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala and amchur powder to it.
  3. Mash the potatoes, and add to the mix with salt as per taste. Cover the pan and let it cook for 2 minutes. Keep it aside to cool.
  4. For Bati : Put all the ingredients of bati in a bowl, add water in small quantities.
  5. Make a soft dough.
  6. Divide the dough in 8 parts and make small balls of the dough.
  7. Press each bowl in between your palms and keep 1 spoon filling in the center and remake the ball.
  8. Press the filled batties to give them a little flat ends.
  9. Put the batties in a baking dish , grease the batti with oil and keep it in a Preheated oven at 200 degree for 10 minutes.
  10. Take the batties out of oven, and serve it with Green chutney and Tamarind Chutney.
