Ingredients to make Mango phirni #Mango #MagicofMangoes#betterbutter

  • Full fat milk 6 cups
  • Raw rice 5 tbsp
  • 2 tbsp cornflour diluted in 4 tbsp milk at room temperature
  • sugar 1 cup
  • Cardamom1/2 tbsp
  • Few saffron strands diluted in 2 tbsp warm milk
  • Mango purée 2 cups ( I used Alphonso so haven't added sugar if your mangoes are not sweet add 2 tbsp sugar while making purée
  • Mango chunks 1 cup
  • Cherries few for garnishing

How to make Mango phirni #Mango #MagicofMangoes#betterbutter

  1. Soak rice in water for half n hour and drain it and grind coarsely and keep aside. Take milk in small bowl add 2 tbsp cornflour to it and mix well and keep aside. Now bring milk to boil and keep it stirring continuously and on low flame only.
  2. Add coarsely grinded rice paste and keep cooking 10 mins more, now add milk mixture with cornflour and mix it gradually and keep stirring till milk thickens. It will take 20 min approximately, now add sugar and cardamom and saffron strands
  3. Soaked in milk. Now cook few minutes so everything mixes very well .turn off gas n cool it down,add mango purée and mango chunks and refrigerate for 2 hours serve it chilled . While serving garnish with cherries :)
