Ingredients to make sweet,sour n spicy mango curry

  • 1 ripe mango
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • for tempering- 1 tablespn oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds( jeera)
  • 1 Whole red chilli
  • for curry-
  • turmeric pd half teaspn
  • red chilli pd half teaspn(optional)
  • Garam masala 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • mango pulp and water puree

How to make sweet,sour n spicy mango curry

  1. Peel off the mango, take out pulp and cut into small pieces. Keep aside. Take 2-3 teaspoon of pulp with 1 cup water and make a puree(its should be more watery in texture) and keep aside.
  2. In a nonstick pan, add butter and toss the chopped mangoes for 2 to 3 minutes. Take out and add the oil in the same pan.
  3. Heat oil, add mustard seeds as soon as it splutters add jeera and whole red chilli.
  4. Jeera crackles, add the mango pieces and the spices along with the salt and sugar and mix
  5. Cook for another 2 minutes then add the mango water puree and cook to boil. Add lemon juice and mix.
  6. Turn off the gas. Mango curry is ready. Enjoy with puri.
My Tip: adjust the sweetness and sourness of dish according to the mangoe sweetness n sourness
