Ingredients to make homemade rabdi burfee

  • milk 2 litres
  • sugar 4 to 5 tbsp
  • Condensed milk 1/2 cup
  • cardamom pd 1/2 teaspn
  • ghee 3 tbsp
  • lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • almond grated

How to make homemade rabdi burfee

  1. Take a heavy bottom pan. Put the milk into it and boil. Then lower the flame and allow the milk to reduce by stirring in between..
  2. It will take time to reduce the milk..
  3. As the milk reduces to 1/3 of the quantity add sugar,cardamom pd and mix and then add condensed milk. Mix and cook for five more minutes.
  4. Add lemon juice and mix it. After some minutes of cooking the mixture will turn grainy. Remove from the flame.
  5. Take the nonstick pan, add ghee , heat and then add the reduced milk. Cook till it thickens and changes the colour and starts leaving the sides.
  6. Grease a plate with oil or ghee and pour the mixture over it and the grated almond& allow it to set at room temperature first and then into the fridge only for 10 min.
  7. Cut into desired pieces.

My Tip:

Do not refrigerate the butfees.store at room temperature but not more than 2 or 3 days
