AAM PAPAD (TASTY MANGO BARS) IS A LEATHERY SWEET MADE FROM SWEETENED AND SUN DRIED MANGO PULP. THESE SMALL BITES OF MANGO ARE SURE TO BE ENJOYED BY OLD AND YOUNG PEOPLE ALIKE.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 3 CUPS MANGO PULP
  2. 1/2 cup Sugar
  3. 1 TEA SPOON GHEE FOR GREASING THALI OR TRY
  4. OPTIONAL 1/2 TEA SPOON CARDAMON POWDER

Instructions

  1. To prepare aam papad, get a few mangoes and extract 3 cups full of pulp.
  2. Add the mango pulp , sugar and cardamom powder in a pan and place it on the gas to boil.
  3. After it comes to boil, cook for 5-6 minutes while you stir continuously, until the pulp thickens and slightly changes its colour.
  4. Grease a plate or try with ghee, pour the cooked mango mix on the plate and spread it out thinly to allow them to dry.
  5. Now keep this plate out in the sun to dry. If the sun's heat is strong then the aam papad will be dried and ready by evening.
