About Aam Ka Chunda( Gujrati sweet mango chutney) Recipe

Raw mangoes are combined with sugar and sun dried for few days to make this absolutely delicous Aam ka Chunda

Aam Ka Chunda( Gujrati sweet mango chutney)

Ingredients to make Aam Ka Chunda( Gujrati sweet mango chutney)

  • Raw mangoes 1 kg
  • sugar 1 kg
  • salt 2 tsp
  • red chilly powder 2 tsp
  • clove 8 to 10 pods
  • cardamom 2 to 3 sticks

How to make Aam Ka Chunda( Gujrati sweet mango chutney)

  1. Wash and wipe whole raw mango and let it dry for sometime.
  2. Peel and grate the mangoes
  3. Add salt into it and mix well.
  4. Now add sugar to it.( sugar should be equal or more in quantity according to grated mango). Wrap it with clean white muslin cloth.
  5. Keep it for a day.
  6. Next day mix it again with clean laddle and keep under sun
  7. In evening take it inside the home and mix it again.
  8. Repeat 6 and 7 step for approximately 6 days or until sugar gets dissolved and you get syrup consistency.
  9. When done add red chilly powder, ground clove and cardamom into it and keep in sun for a day.
  10. Transfer into sterilised glass jar.And enjoy whole year aam ka chunda. Goes well with anything like thepla, parantha, puri, bread, roti. It does not spoil even if not kept in refrigerator.
