Mango Oats Kulfi

Ingredients to make Mango Oats Kulfi

  • Quick Cooking Plain Oats - 4 tablespoons
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Mango puree- 1 Cup
  • Jaggery - 1 Tbsp ( optional )
  • Honey – 3 Tbsp ( depends on your preferred sweetness)
  • Cardamom/ Elaichi - 1
  • Almonds, pista , cashew - as much as you want
  • Few strands of saffron (optional but preferred)

How to make Mango Oats Kulfi

  1. Take oats, cardamom and half the quantity of nuts in a mixer and powder them .
  2. Puree the chopped mangoes .
  3. Finely chop remaining nuts . Soak saffron in warm milk.
  4. Pour the milk in a thick bottomed vessel. Add oats + nuts powder to it . Mix well . Keep the flame on medium heat.
  5. After 2-3 minutes add jaggery and honey and mix well .
  6. When the mixture starts to thicken , add mango pulp ,chopped nuts and saffron . Mix everything well . Switch Off and allow to cool .
  7. Pour it into “Kulfi Moulds” and freeze .
  8. That's it after 4-6 hours ,unmould mango oats kulfi from the moulds and relish them guilt free.
