About Ginger Mango Marmalade Recipe

A home made, healthy, luscious fresh mango marmalade with hint of ginger can be enjoyed throughout the season and can be stored in refrigerator without any preservative.

Ginger Mango Marmalade

Ingredients to make Ginger Mango Marmalade

  • Alphanso or kesar mango 4 big
  • Sugar 1 cup( approximately half the amount of diced mango)
  • Pinch of salt
  • ginger 1/2" piece

How to make Ginger Mango Marmalade

  1. Remove the black portion from top of mango and keep it in water for 15 minutes.
  2. Peel and finely chop the mangoes.
  3. In a non stick pan add mangoes and sugar and heat on low flame.
  4. Keep stirring them in between so that it does not stick to pan and gets done.
  5. After 10 minutes sugar will almost dissolve and mango would be a bit mashy, at this time add grated ginger and pinch of salt.
  6. Continue cooking on low flame and keep mashing mangoes with ladle for another 5 minutes
  7. And the ginger mango marmalade is ready. A favorite of kids. Enjoyyy.
