Eggless Chocolate Cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Chocolate Cake

  • All purpose flour - 1 ½ Cup
  • Sugar – 1 Cup or little less
  • Butter – ½ Cup
  • Milk – ½ Cup
  • Thick Yogurt/Dahi –  Cup
  • Cocoa powder - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon Zest – ½ Tsp
  • Vanilla Essence – ½ Tsp
  • Baking Soda – ½ Tsp
  • Baking Powder –  Tsp

How to make Eggless Chocolate Cake

  1. Pre heat the oven at 200 degrees c. Grease and dust a baking pan.
  2. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and cocoa powder.
  3. Whisk together butter and sugar till creamy in a bowl.
  4. Add lemon juice, lemon zest and vanilla essence, beat well.
  5. Mix in yogurt and flour mixture, beat for 1-2 mins. Add milk and mix well.
  6. Pour the batter in the tin and bake for 35-40 mins.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  8. Transfer it to a wire rack and let it cool.
  9. Cut into slices and dust with powdered sugar.

Thick yogurt is 1 3/4th cup or only 3/4th cup. Same goes for the Baking powder, is that 1 3/4 tsp or only 3/4th tsp. Not very clear. Thank you in advance for your response
