Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Potatoes 4
  2. Chat masala 2 tbsp
  3. Gram flour 1+1/2 cup
  4. Salt 1/2 tesp
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  6. Turmeric powder 1/4 tesp
  7. Baking soda a pinch
  8. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. PEEL POTATOES AND CUT INTO THICK SLICES.
  2. SLIT EACH SLICE INTO TWO WITHOUT DETACHING AT END.
  3. TAKE 1+1/2 CUP GRAM FLOUR, 1/2 TESP EACH OF SALT, RED CHILLI PWD, 1/4 TESP TURMERIC PWD, BAKING SODA
  4. MAKE A THICK LUMP FREE BATTER USING WATER AS NEEDED.
  5. BATTER SHOULD BE REALLY THICK TO COAT BACK OF SPOON NICELY.
  6. SPRINKLE SOME CHAT MASALA IN SLITS OF ALL SLICES.
  7. DIP EACH SLICE IN BATTER NICELY AND DROP INTO HOT OIL.
  8. FRY THESE FRITTERS ON LOW HEAT FOR ABOUT 5-6 MINUTES PER BATCH TO COOK POTATOES DEEP INSIDE.
  9. DRAIN OUT FROM OIL AND LET THEM COOL FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES.
  10. CUT EACH SLICE INTO TWO.
  11. FRY THEM IN HOT OIL TILL CRISP AND GOLDEN.
  12. KEEP STIRRING THEM IN BETWEEN.
  13. DRAIN OUT ON AN ABSORBENT PAPER.
  14. SERVE WITH KETCHUP AND MINT CHUTNEY.
