About Phirni Recipe

I especially make this dessert during Ramzan.

Phirni

Ingredients to make Phirni

  • 1 tablespoon basmati rice, soaked
  • 1 litre milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 green cardamom powder
  • 2 almonds powder
  • 2 tablespoon ghee

How to make Phirni

  1. Heat ghee in wok and roast the soaked rice in it till the rice color changes.
  2. Add milk and bring it to boil. Saute in between.
  3. Add sugar and cardamom powder, cook it on a low flame till the milk reduces.
  4. Set it in a mitti bowl.
  5. Garnish it with almond powder.
  6. Refrigerate it for 3-4 hours and then serve.

My Tip:

You can add chopped cashew nuts as well.
