ABOUT Palak patta chat RECIPE

#earnwithbetterbutter Spinach leaves coated with gram flour batter and fried to crisp and crunchy. Topped with curd, tamarind chutney and mint chutney. It is a popular street food of Delhi.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Spinach leaves 8-10
  2. Gram flour 1 cup
  3. Salt 1/2 tesp
  4. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  5. Turmeric powder 1/4 tesp
  6. Carrom seeds 1/4 tesp
  7. Baking soda a pinch
  8. Oil for deep frying
  9. Curd 1 cup
  10. Tamarind chutney 2 tbsp
  11. Mint chutney 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1 CUP GRAM FLOUR WITH 1/2 TESP SALT AND RED CHILLI POWDER, 1/4 TESP TURMERIC POWDER.
  2. ADD A PINCH OF BAKING SODA AND 1/4 TESP CARROM SEEDS.
  3. ADD WATER TO MAKE A SMOOTH BATTER.
  4. MAKE A THICK AND SMOOTH BATTER.
  5. WASH SPINACH LEAVES NICELY.
  6. DIP A SPINACH LEAF IN GRAM FLOUR BATTER AND DROP IN HOT OIL.
  7. FRY FOR A MINUTE ON BOTH SIDES.
  8. REMOVE FROM OIL.
  9. AFTER 5 MINUTES REFRY SPINACH PAPDI.
  10. FRY UNTIL CRISP AND REMOVE ONTO AN ABSORBENT PAPER .
  11. ARRANGE IN A PLATTER. TOP WITH CURD.
  12. SPRINKLE WITH SALT, RED CHILLI POWDER AND CUMIN POWDER.
  13. TAMARIND CHUTNEY.
  14. MINT CHUTNEY.
  15. GARNISH WITH BOONDI.
