About Bread Butter Pudding Recipe

Bread Butter Pudding is a simple yet delicious dessert.

Bread Butter Pudding

Ingredients to make Bread Butter Pudding

  • 6 slices of bread
  • 3 tablespoon salted butter
  • 300 ml warm milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 10 gram raisins
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon chopped cherry ,for garnishing

How to make Bread Butter Pudding

  1. 1. Remove crust from each slice of bread.
  2. 2. Spread butter evenly on each slice of bread.
  3. 3. Now place each slice of bread on another and cut into bite size pieces.Set aside.
  4. 4.In a mixing bowl, add in milk,eggs,butter,vanilla essence, crushed nutmeg and sugar.
  5. 5. Whisk well.
  6. 6. Now layer a micro proof bowl with those small pieces of bread.
  7. 7. Sprinkle raisins on bread.
  8. 8. Now pour the mixture on to the bread.
  9. 9. Leave to soak about 1/2 an hour.
  10. 10. Pre- heat oven at 170° C and bake for 50 minutes.
  11. 11. When done take it out from oven and leaves several minutes to rest.
  12. 12. Sprinkle some chopped cherries on the top.
  13. 13. Bread Butter Pudding is ready to serve.
  14. 14. Serve with ice cream or custard.

My Tip:

Serve with cream, custard or ice cream.
