Pasta Arrabiata

Ingredients to make Pasta Arrabiata

  • 2 cups Pasta
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 1 tsp garlic finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp dried basil
  • salt to taste
  • olive oil for cooking
  • parmesan cheese

How to make Pasta Arrabiata

  1. Blanch tomatoes - Boil water, add tomatoes and cook in medium heat until the skin starts to peel off. Once cooled peel off the skin, deseed it & puree the tomatoes till smooth.
  2. Boil the pasta by adding salt and 1/2 tsp of olive oil. Drain out the pasta when its done.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add garlic sauté till slightly browned. Then add onion, sauté till golden brown.
  4. Add tomato puree and let it cook for 5-6 mins. Then add oregano, salt, dried basil leaves, once the sauce is thick add pasta mix it well until the sauce coats well on the pasta.
  5. Serve hot sprinkle parmesan cheese and garnish with parsley.
