Methi Paneer Dry Curry

Ingredients to make Methi Paneer Dry Curry

  • methi Leaves - 1 cup
  • paneer - 1 cup chopped
  • onion - 1 small chopped
  • Green chilies - 2 slit
  • ginger - 1tsp grated
  • garlic - 2 cloves finely minced
  • curry leaves - 6~8
  • Red Chili powder - ½ tsp (adjust as per taste)
  • turmeric - ½ tsp
  • Kasoori methi - 1~2 tsp crushed
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Methi Paneer Dry Curry

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a saute pan; add in the cumin seeds, chopped ginger and garlic. Saute and cook for 30 seconds or until the fragrance develops.
  2. Add in onions, green chilies, curry leaves and methi leaves.
  3. Cover with a lid and let it cook till the methi leaves are wilted and tender, this could take about 4~5 minutes.
  4. Add in salt, red chili powder, turmeric and the paneer. Gently toss it around and cook for 2~3 minutes or until the paneer is heated through.
  5. Finally add the crushed kasoori methi, mix it well and turn off the heat.
  6. Serve hot with roti or rice.
