Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Coconut oil 1/4 cup
  2. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  3. Urad dal 1 tsp
  4. Red byadagi chilli broken 2 pieces
  5. Jeera 1 tsp
  6. Curry leaves few
  7. Chopped onion 1 cup
  8. Carrot chopped 1 cup
  9. Ginger 2 inch
  10. Rava 1 1/2 cup
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Water 3 cup
  13. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  14. Coriander leaves chopped 1/4 cup
  15. Coconut gratings 1/2 cup
  16. Ghee 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP EACH OF MUSTARD SEEDS & URAD DAL
  2. ADD 1 BROKEN DRY RED CHILLI, 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, FEW CURRY LEAVES, 1/4 TSP CHANA DAL
  3. ADD 1 CUP CHOPPED ONION, FRY UNTIL TRANSLUCENT
  4. ADD 1 CUP CHOPPED CARROT, 1.5 TSP FINELY CHOPPED GINGER
  5. ADD 1.5 CUPS PRE-ROASTED SEMOLINA, MIX WELL
  6. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 3 CUPS BOILING WATER
  7. BRING IT TO A BOIL, ALLOW IT TO SIMMER, STIR IN BETWEEN
  8. ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, STIR & COOK TILL DRY
  9. ADD 1/2 CUP GRATED COCONUT, MIX
  10. ADD 1 TSP MELTED GHEE, TAKE OFF HEAT
  11. GARNISH WITH A HANDFUL OF CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES, SERVE HOT
