Spicy mutton cooked with spinach

Palak ghosht

Ingredients to make Palak ghosht

  • Mutton 1 Kg
  • spinach 2 small bunches
  • ginger garlic paste 2tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powedr 1 tsp or as per taste
  • coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • curd 1 cup
  • onion 3 - 4 sliced
  • Whole garam masala: 4 green eliachi,
  • 2black elaichi,
  • 1 star anise,
  • a piece of javitri,
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick,
  • bay leaves 3 - 4,
  • 6-8 cloves
  • onion barista for garnish
  • coriander leaves a handful

How to make Palak ghosht

  1. Wash the mutton under running water and simillarly wash the spinach nicely and finely chop it
  2. In a pan heat oil (as per ur lyking , I like a little more oil in non veg dishes) and the whole garam masala. Cook for a min
  3. Now add the sliced onions and cook until translucent
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and stir add the washed mutton and cook for 5 -6 mins
  5. Now add all the spices
  6. Cook covered till the mutton is more than half cooked
  7. Nw add the curd and mix. Add d spinach and give a good mix
  8. Dont cover and cook after adding the spinach
  9. Cook for another 10 mins .
  10. Garnish wid coriander leaves and onion barista

My Tip:

Dont over cook the dish after adding the spinach
