Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mung dal 1 cup
  2. Chana dal 1/2 cup
  3. Asafetida 1/4 tsp
  4. Ginger 1 inch
  5. Green chilli 2
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Green chutney made from coriander,mint leaves,ginger,green chillies,lemon juice/amchoor and salt.
  8. Sweet tamarind chutney made from tamarind,jaggery,garam masala and chaat masala
  9. Grated radish 1/2 cup
  10. Lemon wedges
  11. Coriander
  12. Chaat masala

Instructions

  1. WASH AND SOAK 1 CUP MUNG DAL AND 1/2 CUP CHANA DAL FOR 3-4 HOURS.DRAIN WATER AND GRIND .
  2. ADD 1 INCH PIECE GINGER AND 2 GREEN CHILLIES CHOPPED.
  3. THIS IS THE CONSISTENCY WE REQUIRE.DO NOT ADD WATER WHILE GRINDING.
  4. ADD 1/4 TSP ASAFETIDA AND A TSP OF SALT TO THE BATTER.
  5. MIX AND WHISK THE BATTER WITH SPOON TILL THE BATTER BECOMES FLUFFY.
  6. SEE HOW FLUFFY THE BATTER LOOKS.
  7. PUT SMALL BALLS OF BATTER WITH HANDS IN MEDIUM HOT OIL.
  8. FRY ON BOTH SIDES TILL GOLDEN.
  9. REMOVE ON A TISSUE LINED PLATE.
  10. TAKE SOME LADOOS IN A SERVING BOWL.
  11. POUR SOME SPICY AND TANGY GREEN CHUTNEY ALL OVER.THEN POUR SWEET TAMARIND CHUTNEY.
  12. SPRINKLE CHAAT MASALA AND GRATED RADISH.
  13. SPRINKLE SOME CORIANDER AND SERVE WITH A LEMON WEDGE.
